I discovered the Great Outdoors on an outing to the Belgian Ardennes with our village brass band in the 1980s. I was so entranced by the landscape that years later, together with a couple of friends, we decided to go on a hiking trip through the Hoge Venen. After that, I was completely smitten.

Another passion I developed in my teenage years is mountain-biking. Our region is particularly blessed in that respect. More recently, I’ve put my skills to the test on biking trips in Austria and Switzerland.

I do a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff for the festival, making sure that the guests we welcome feel at home at the DMFF. I also try to get sponsors on board and give them the exposure they want.
