Natuurvriendenhuis Eikhold

Villa Eikhold is a large handsome villa on the outskirts of Heerlen. Since 1955 it has been owned by the Friends of Nature (Nivon). This is a non-profit organisation with its roots in the international workers’ movement, whose aim is to make the enjoyment of nature and culture accessible to the wider community.

Villa Eikhold offers accommodation for guests and visitors to the Dutch Mountain Film Festival and will also act as an informal meeting place for the duration of the festival. The villa has accommodation for 80 persons and has communal facilities for cooking and relaxation. It is a 10-minute walk from the villa to the Royal Theater in Heerlen town centre.

Villa Eikhold also serves as an excellent base for walking the Dutch Mountain Trail.
