Tourists go to the Austrian mountains to ski. Once they are on the slopes however, they remain ordinary people with ordinary bad habits, emotions and irritations, and the ‘weather cameras’ also record their dialogues on the piste, on the ski lift, and on the viewing terrace.
Salzburg-based director Bernhard Wenger has already received wide acclaim with his films. With this short film, ‘Recordings of a weather camera’ he holds a mirror up to skiers, in actual fact, to humanity as a whole.
At the same time, the question arises as to whether all of this is acceptable from a GDPR perspective? Or has it all been secretly staged? Judge for yourself.
