With a few strokes of paint, the scene is set for a harsh, late autumn day in the mountains. A man and his dog are seen heading into the mountains to hunt. The wind and the mist gradually blur the boundaries between dream and reality.
The makers of this film drew inspiration from the obscure world between lush alpine pastures and harsh mountain precipices in the stories told by Meinrad Inglin (1893-1971). Just as the weather can turn in the mountains, so too can peaceful moments transform into loss. The filmmakers are able to interpret this intangible feature of the mountains in a masterly manner.
