‘We may have won the war, but what does that really mean?’ Before this story is lost, the last partisan, alias ’17’, tells her story about the resistance in Italy during the Second World War. ‘Partizane 17’, together with other women, risked their lives to bring weapons, medicine and food to their brothers-in-arms in the mountains at night.
Director Thomas Horat is an independent filmmaker from Switzerland. In Diciassette he combines film and animation. The film show eye-catching images of the Italian Alps while Partizane 17 looks back on the fight against fascism.
