Berghut to Basecamp Trail Run
By: rasjel
When: Sunday 10 November 13:00
After last year’s success, the DMFF is once again organising a 25-kilometre trail run through the beautiful upland scenery of Zuid-Limburg. This time, we’ll be starting from Berghut Halverwege, a mountain hut on the slopes of the Vaalserberg. From there, we’ll run on unpaved paths, avoiding tarmacked roads as much as possible, to finish at Villa Eikhold in Heerlen.
Why not join us for this fun run? The aim is to all start at the same time and run the first part of the trail together. Around the halfway mark, the group will be met by Rasjel with refreshments. From that point onwards, runners can continue at their own pace. Transport will be arranged from Vaals to Heerlen for bags and belongings and showers will be available when you get to Villa Eikhold. After that, it’s a short walk to the Royal Theater, where will raise a toast and sink into the comfy seats to enjoy the Awards Show and the stunning mountain film A Shepherd.
