Welcome to the Dutch Mountain Film Festival! This international film festival takes place in Heerlen (NL) and Aachen (D), two cities separated by a few hills and an international border. Base camp for the festival in Heerlen is the Royal Theater and in Aachen the Apollo Kino. Below you can find out all you need to know about these cinemas and other festival sites.

 

COVID-19 measures

The festival will be complying with the most current government-imposed COVID-19 regulations for cinemas and (indoor) events.

  • For Heerlen: latest COVID-19 measures from the Dutch government. More specifc information on measures for indoor events and showing your COVID-19 certification can be found here.
  • For Aachen: general information (in English) on COVID-19 regulations in Germany can be found on the federal government website here. Each federal state is responsible for implementing its own specifc local measures. The current rules which apply in North Rhine-Westphalia – and therefore in Aachen – can be found (in German only) here (to summarise: show your your COVID-19 certification at the door, wearing of medically approved facemasks is mandatory in shops, cinemas and for other indoor events)
